Course Reserves

Print and electronic reserves at D'Amour Library.

About Course Reserves

Course reserves enhance and support academic courses by ensuring that students have access to required and supplemental materials. Reserve materials circulate on 2-hour, 3-hour, 24-hour, 48-hour, 3-day, 1-week or 2-week loan periods, as determined by the instructor.

Hardcopy materials are kept behind the circulation desk.

Currently available course reserves can be browsed online.

Information For Faculty

Faculty may place materials on reserve so they can be shared with the entire class. All materials placed on reserve must adhere to U.S. copyright laws. Please see the University’s Policy for Copyright Compliance, or talk with a staff member of the circulation department.

To place materials on reserve, please email Gina Finnegan at with a list of requested items or readings, or complete a request form

  • Personal materials to be placed on reserve may be dropped off at the circulation desk.

  • The default loan period is two hours, unless otherwise requested.

  • Course reserves are available per semester; unless otherwise requested, materials will be removed from reserve at the end of the semester.

  • Reserve requests are processed as quickly as possible in the order in which they are received. Please allow for at least 3 days lead time for placing items on reserve, especially at the beginning of the semester.
