D’Amour Library welcomes alumni, local CCGS college students, and patrons from the community. However, our guest user policies are informed by our core mission; that is, to serve current students, faculty, and staff.
- For ALL guest users, use of D’Amour Library is a privilege that can be revoked if your use of the library is determined to negatively affect the student learning environment.
- Guests may use the library during weekday, daytime hours – typically from open until 5PM Monday through Friday. Guests may not use the library when the building is on swipe access.
- ALL guest users are required to check in and out at the front desk each time they enter and exit the building.
- Guests are expected to adhere to the University’s Community Standards, including any health and safety requirements that may be in effect.
- Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
As WNEU Alumni or local CCGS college student you can:
- Apply for a Guest Library card to borrow and renew items from our general collection (valid CCGS or Alumni Association card required). Borrowers are responsible for the library materials they borrow and are subject to overdue fines and replacement costs for damaged and lost items.
- Access the internet from a personal device using the wneGuest wifi network
- Access databases from the wneGuest network, with some exceptions.
As a non-affiliated community patron you can:
- Consult the books in our collection and use them within the building.
- Access the internet from a personal device using the wneGuest wifi network
Guest users may not:
- Enter the building at any time the building is accessible only by swipe card.
- Use computers (without prior authorization), printers, scanners, copiers, makerspace equipment, or other library technology
- Use the library’s computer labs, classrooms, meeting rooms or study rooms.
- Borrow reserve items, Baker & Taylor (bestsellers) books, Library of Things items, periodicals, or media (DVDs, audiobooks, vinyl records).
- Attend events or workshops not indicated as open to the public.
- Access library databases from off-campus.
- Use interlibrary loan services.
