Welcome back Upperclassmen & and welcome aboard Freshmen! We have an exciting year ahead! The D'Amour Library had busy summer making some updates for a fresh start!
Before we get into the new, we should take a moment to celebrate the return of our popular stressbusting programs! Crochet in the Clarke with Deb Beagle has returned to the Monday evening lineup, so if you want to learn to crochet a tiny whale or just want to meet some like-minded yarn enthusiasts, visit us at D'Amour at 4PM every Monday (except for holidays). All materials provided, open to all abilities from beginner to expert.
Wednesdays from 4-5 you can drop in for a craft with Bridget Kennedy; check University Posts to see what the project will be! The semester plan so far includes collage, sand art, gemstone mosaics, and classic Perler Beads! All material provided, all abilities welcome.
As for the exiting new changes, we have a quite a few with more to come! We have 2 brand new librarians, Carrie Evans and Maxine Gerard, who are here to help our Business and Engineering students, respectively. Stop by and say hello!
The Clarke Reading Room now features cozy beanbag chairs, perfect for reading & relaxing. The Leisure Reading collection (the fun books!) has been updated with on trend, diverse titles, and we are definitely looking for your suggestions to make the collection one that you want to read! We have a selection of popular authors & series, BookTok Bestsellers, and will soon have Spanish language editions of popular titles.
The second floor will soon feature a new open study area, check back in a few weeks to see how it's shaping up!
